1. Preliminary Remarks
Sales rules control complex processes within the checkout. Automation and scaling must be possible at all times. Therefore, certain limitations apply to the various sales rules.
There is also a priority or sequence according to which these rules are applied if several rules are to be carried out.
Prioritization:
- Misuse rules
- Selling paths
- Age-related rules
- Sales-based rules
2. Misuse Rules
- are always carried out first. Only then are other sales rules applied, if necessary.
- must already be assigned to an offer at the time of purchase. If the misuse rule is only subsequently assigned to an offer, the rule does not apply to purchases made up to that point.
3. Age-Related Rules
- cannot be used with an offer which is already used with a sales-based rule.
4. Sales-Based Rules
- can only be used with single-tier subscriptions.
- an only be used for time-based and issue-based subscriptions.
- cannot be used with an offer in various sales-based rules.
- cannot be used with an offer which is already used in an age-related rule.
5. Selling Paths
- can only be used for time-based subscriptions.
- deactivate the check whether the offer has already been purchased (misuse rule).
- cannot be used in connection with shopping carts.
