1. Preliminary Notes

The "Delivery Break" function makes it possible to interrupt delivery for ongoing print subscriptions for a freely selectable period of time. The following conditions apply:

  • A Delivery Break can be terminated prematurely
  • This function has no effect on the accounting
  • The setting of a delivery break is possible in the Self Service as well as in the plenigo backend
  • Subscriptions with a fixed term are not extended by the period of delivery break
The fact that there is no accounting  suspension (as with a pause) means that a delivery break for print subscriptions can be freely selected in terms of calendar. This means that deliveries can be interrupted for short periods if the recipient is unable to take delivery. Your customers receive mails for manual actions on the subject of delivery breaks: setting and canceling/deleting a delivery break.

Note: If the "Delivery Break" function is to be used, it is recommended that you configure the corresponding e-mail templates "Subscription delivery was paused" and "Subscription delivery pause was ended". These system mails will be sent to your customers in case of using this function.

2. Backend: Delivery Break

The function can be found in the subscription view in the customer account.
The "Pause" item of the action bar contains options to create a delivery break for the subscription and to cancel an existing delivery break. The other options in the "Pause" item concern the pausing of a subscription.

A subscription for which a delivery interruption has been set already receives a corresponding note in the subscription overview:
