What is an address validation?

Address validation is an additional module that is subject to a charge. Settings can only be made here after purchase or activation.
The address validation module can be used to check postal addresses from 240 countries worldwide. The address is checked both when billing and/or delivery addresses are entered for the first time and when they are subsequently changed - this ensures that only valid addresses are entered.
This module uses the Byteplant GmbH service. Byteplant is a company based in Germany that operates in accordance with the standards of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). No addresses are processed and stored for purposes other than validation. At no time is customer data passed on to third parties.
All data provided to Byteplant GmbH via this module is automatically deleted within 14 days.

The module must be purchased in the contracting company and is available for all clients.
In the contracting company, the settings can be activated and it can be set which addresses should be validated.
