1. Preliminary Remarks

Offers can be archived in the Merchant Backend. When archiving the offers, you can choose how the offer should be handled after being archived.

2. Archive Offers

You can either archive one single offer via the detail view or several offers at the same time via the main view in the Offers menu item.
The following options are available for handling the archived offers:
  1. still sold
    The offer can still be sold without any limitations after being archived.
  2. not sold anymore
    The offer cannot be sold anymore. You can define a help text that will be shown in the Checkout if end customers want to buy this offer. This text is only available with the release of the new Checkout.
  3. cross selling to another offer
    You can select another offer to which end customers are referred if they want to buy the archived offer. You can also define a help text that will be shown in the Checkout.
If the offer is being used somewhere else in the Merchant Backend, a banner is displayed informing about where the offer is in use. By clicking on the link, you are directed to the offer.

If an offer has been archived,
  • it can no longer be selected in a drop-down.
  • a banner shows where the offer is in use.
  • it has an "archived" badge if used somewhere else (e. g. shopping cart, delivery list) so that you can identify it quickly and may exchange it with another offer. 
  • it will be listed in the Archived tab in the Offers menu item.
