1. Preliminary remarks

So that customers can make payments as conveniently as possible, plenigo offers various payment service providers (PSPs) for integration. The tasks of PSPs include the acceptance, authentication and fiduciary processing of payments. Most payment service providers provide, for example, SEPA direct debit or credit card payment for the connection to online stores. The use of a PSP for the payment of purchases and subscriptions in connection with plenigo requires licensing directly with the respective provider.
The individual PSPs are activated by first creating an account with the payment service provider and then entering the necessary data in the plenigo merchant backend. More information on the respective payment service providers and how to set them up can be found here.

The activated PSPs are displayed to the customer in the checkout.

2. Select Payment Methods

  • Click on Edit.
  • Payment methods which have already been configured can be activated or deactivated by ticking the box. The payment methods which have not been configured yet are greyed out.
  • They can be activated/deactivated separately for single items and subscriptions.
  • Specific countries can be selected in which the payment methods should be accepted. If no country is selected, the payment method will be accepted in all countries.

Note: Google Pay and Apple Pay

  • only work if Stripe has been configured as PSP in the merchant backend and are active in the Stripe backend.
  • are already included in Credit Card and do not have to be activated separately in the Payment transactions tab.

3. Sort Payment Methods

In the Sort Payment tab, the activated payment methods can be sorted individually for single items and subscriptions.
The sorting takes effect in the checkout and is displayed to the customer in the set order.
