In the plenigo Merchant Backend you can create both issue-based and time-based subscriptions. You can sell digital and analog products with both subscription types equally.
The subscription types differ from Die Abonnementtypen unterscheiden sich dahingehend wie sie abgerechnet werden und in welchem Intervall sie sich erneuern.
Billing
Issue-based subscriptions are billed according to issues. In this example, we have a subscription consisting of 12 issues which costs 12 €. The billing takes place after the 12th issue has been delivered/published. Time-based subscriptions, in contrast, are billed according to certain time period. In this example, billing takes place after 12 months.
Subscription Interval
The issue-based subscription in this example has a subscription interval of 12 issues, meaning that the subscription is renewed after the 12th issue has been delivered/published. The time-based subscription is renewed every month.
Therefore, you have the possibility to define the billing period differently from the subscription interval. This is not possible with issue-based subscriptions.
