1. Preliminary remarks
Stripe provides its own payment method Link. For more information, click here: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/link?locale=en-EN
In order to provide Link as a payment method in the checkout, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
- Stripe must have been configured as PSP in the plenigo Merchant Backend.
- Stripe Payment Buttons must have been activated in the settings for Payment Variants.
2. Manage Link
Stripe's payment method Link is active in the Stripe account by default.
To ensure that Link is actually active, proceed as follows:
- Open Stripe backend and log in:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/login
- Open Settings (gear symbol).
- Click on Payments in the category Product settings.
- Open the tab Payment methods.
- Navigate to the payment method Link.
The status should be Active. If not, click on Activate. Link is now active.
3. Link in the checkout process
In the checkout, Link is displayed as a button like all other payment methods.
- Click on Link.
- Click on the Link button below to open the registration window.
- Either registrate or log in.
- Enter an e-mail address.
- Enter a mobile number.
- Click on Continue to payment.
- Enter credit card data and invoice address.
Use Stripe's test payment methods to test: https://docs.stripe.com/testing - Click on Pay. The dialog window closes and the customer is redirected to the Checkout.
- Complete the payment process in the Checkout.
Log in if already registrated
- A verification code is sent to the mobile phone number provided.
- Enter the verification code.
- Either use the credit card already entered or add a new credit card.
- Click on pay.
