1. Preliminary Remarks

plenigo creates your contracting company as your first step in the Merchant Backend. The administrator gets access to the contracting company and the account can be set up by the administrator themselves.
Once the contracting company has been created and the administrator has access, basic data can be maintained in the contracting company, such as company master data and specifications to the contract, modules, users and user groups of the Merchant Backend. The so-called clients are separated units for which specific data, such as offers, customers, transactions, invoices, voucher campaigns and much more, is managed. Clients can be "real" companies in the sense of commercial law, but also simply internally demarcated economic units that are managed separately. There are two views in the Merchant Backend - the contracting company view and the client view. You can switch from the contracting company view to the client view and vice versa. You can recognize the client view by the dark navigation bar.

2. First-Time Registration

To make the registration as smooth and simple as possible, please make sure to hold the following information ready:
1. Your company's domain
2. Your company's name
3. Contact e-mail address which plenigo can use to contact you
4. Support e-mail address which your customers can use to contact you
5. Invoice e-mail address which plenigo can use to send your invoices
6. Your Creditor ID which is displayed to customers on the SEPA mandate.
7. Invoice start number and customer start number (can only be changed prior to the first invoice or customer)
8. Your username which consists of username@company abbreviation (to be found in the e-mail sent to the administrator)

Once you have collected all required data, you can start the registration process.
Step 1:
After the contracting company and the first administrator has been created, the admin receives an e-mail containing a link to reset the password.



Step 2:
After having signed in you will find yourself in the contracting company view and the form for creating a client is automatically opened.
Please enter the collected information mentioned above. The fields marked with a star are mandatory.
Optionally, you can determine that the username is mandatory when logging into the Merchant Backend and you can deactivate e-mail verification.

Step 3:
After saving the form, you have to log into the Merchant Backend again to get access to the client, which you have created.
After you have logged in again, you will find yourself in the contracting company view in the Select Company menu item. Here you will find the client you have created.

3. Client View

You can switch to the client view by clicking either on the client's name, the house or the Show all customers button.


The client view has a dark navigation bar. In the client you create offers, create and manage customers, display invoices and orders and much more. The client is where your daily business takes place. 

Edit Client

If you want to make changes to the client's data, you can do this by opening the menu item Settings > Company Data in the client view. 

Change from Client to Contracting Company

If you want to switch from the client to the contracting company, open the menu item Select Company and click on Switch to contracting company.

4. Add More Clients

If you want to add more clients, you can do this in the contracting company view.
  • In the navigation bar, open the menu item Settings.
  • Click on Company Data.
  • Click on + Add Client in the top left corner.
You can have different invoice starting numbers for each client. The customer numbers are the same for all clients as customers are automatically transferred to all clients.
