Cancellation in Self Service

Customers can cancel their subscription in the Self Service by themselves.
The following conditions apply:

issue-based subscriptions:
  • Customers can only cancel in due time.
  • The dates that are shown to the customers are based on the publishing dates defined on the delivery list. In addition, the issue title from the delivery list is shown. Depending on the cancellation period defined in the product contract (x days before the end of the accounting period or x days before the publication of each issue), customers have the corresponding cancellation option available.  
  • The issue that the customers have selected for the cancellation is the last issue they will receive.

time-based subscriptions:
  • Customers can only cancel in due time.
  • Customers can either cancel regularly or, if activated in the Merchant Backend, at a given date in the future. If this option is activated, customers can choose from future dates.
  • For time-based subscriptions that have an accounting period bigger than the subscription interval, part cancellation can happen even if customers have canceled regularly. In this case, it is not possible to withdraw the cancellation.
