1. Preliminary remarks

plenigo makes it possible to flexibly create and sell different types of products due to the modular structure of products, so-called offers.
In this article all offer types in the Merchant Backend are described.

2. Offer Types

  • Products can be digital or analog items.
  • Billing takes place once at the time of purchase.
  • Time passes offer a time-limited access to a digital offer.
  • Billing takes place once at the time of purchase.
  • Single products offer a one-time charge of a wallet.
  • Billing takes place once at the time of purchase.
  • Credit-based single products can be purchased several times by the customer.

Note: Single products can also be used as Skeleton products - thus, various properties, such as price, title or access rights can be overwritten during the checkout process.

Time-Based Subscription:
  • A time-based subscription is used for digital or analog products.
  • Billing is based on time intervals.
  • It is automatically renewed after a certain period (subscription interval).
  • It can either have unlimited or limited runtime.
  • It can contain various products and bundles.
  • It can have several steps.
  • Multi-User Offers and Cross-Client-Offers can also be created.
Issue-Based Subscription
  • An issue-based subscription is used for analog and digital products.
  • Billing is based on issues.
  • It can either have unlimited or limited runtime.
  • It requires a delivery list.
  • It can neither contain several products nor bundles.
  • It can have several steps.
  • A credit-based subscription is based on credits which are credited to a wallet.
  • There are three different types of credit-based subscriptions:
    1. Automatic recharge once the credits are used up.
    2. External recharge of credits via API call.
    3. Time-based recharge where credits are recharged in a regular time period.
  • It can neither contain several products nor bundles.
  • It cannot have several steps.

  • Gift vouchers are offers that generate a voucher code upon purchase, which customers can then use to buy the linked offer.
  • Gift vouchers can only be created with time-based and issue-based subscriptions, however, with restrictions.
Bonus:
  • A bonus can be offered in both analog and digital form.
  • It can be offered with or without additional payment.
  • It can be assigned to several offers. However, an offer can only ever contain one bonus.
