1. Preliminary Remarks
Customizable checkout variants can be created using the checkout editor. For example, separate variants can be created for individual products and subscriptions, or for B2B and B2C. Once the variants have been created, they can be assigned to the offers via the API using the variant ID.
Note: In the first step, the components, such as design, payment methods, content and addresses, are configured so that they can be selected when creating the checkout variant.

The folder structure can be used to sort checkout variants in order to create a better overview and access the desired variants more quickly.

Settings
- Enter an internal title and optionally, assign to a folder.
- Define the Variant Unique ID. It is required to call it via the API and assign it to the respective offers so that the desired variant is opened when the checkout process is started.
- For now, only the Standard Flow can be selected. In the future, there will be more flows available.

Components (UX/UI Design, Payment, Content, Address)
In each tab, the standard settings are preselected.
Use the drop-down menu to choose from the components you have created.
💡Tip: If there are a large number of components, it can be easier to name them clearly. Helpful title for components Payment Methods: "Credit Card, PayPal, Invoice"
The List View
To view further information on the variant, these can be expanded.
Clicking on the variant names (highlighted in blue) opens the detailed view of the corresponding component. The default settings are also displayed, but these cannot be clicked on and opened.
Note: A checkout variant can only be deleted if it was not previously linked to any products or was not in use. |
