1. Preliminary remarks
To register a Stripe account, only a few details are required in the first step, such as a valid email address, name, country of use and a password.
The account can then be used in test mode. However, we recommend that you activate your account as soon as possible after registering so that you can use all of Stripe's services with live data.

It is advisable to use the Stripe checklist to check whether all security precautions have been taken before switching the Stripe account to live mode.
2. Registration and Activation of a Stripe account
Registration
- Open the registration form.
- Enter Email address.
- Enter Full Name.
- Select a Country of Use.
- Create a Password.
Account Activation
After entering the data in the registration form, the Stripe account opens and the email address must be verified.
- Open your email inbox and open the registration mail.
- Click on the link to verify your email address.
After verifying the email address, Stripe can be activated in the Dashboard.
- Click on Continue activating and follow the instructions.
Note: The activation assistent can be skipped any time and continued at a later time. However, the account can only be switched to live mode once the activation assistent has been succesfully completed and all data has been entered. The test mode already works after successful registration. |
After completing the activation assistent
- the account is in live mode.
- the dashboard can be adjusted as desired.
- Stripe automatically checks the data entered.
- the account is fully activated within a few days (when all data is complete) and can be used.
3. Deactivate Customer Emails
To prevent customers from receiving additional e-mails from Stripe, we recommend to deactivate all system mails.
- Open Settings.
- Click on Business in the Business settings category.
- Click on the Customer emails tab.
- Deactivate all system mails using the slider.
